Under 8 South Cluster The curtain came down on the 2009 season for the U8's and indeed for Camogie in general on Saturday last in Kilmallock. Six teams played in the final U8 cluster blitz for '09 in the Gaa Complex . Well done to the clubs Kilmallock ,Bruff, Ballyagran ,Galbally and Charleville for putting in the effort to get these young girls out playing camogie , thanks to Kilmallock Camogie club for a great day's camogie and a marvellous days entertainment for the players and their parents . The parents got to watch their kids in comfort with tea and biscuits served to them , while the players after putting in the effort in their matches were then entertained by , some of the U14 Feile winners from the club with a sing a long and an array of games . This was the fifth day out for all these teams and after the camogie and entertainment were finished all the teams sat in the middle of the hall and had a christmas sing song , during which the man from the North pole on hearing "JingleBells " made a magical appearance to the delight of all the kids. Santa entertained all the girls and boys and had a present for them all . Before the man in the red suit showed up all the players were presented with their medals by Limerick and Kilmallock Hurling great ,Andrew O'Shaughnessy. Another great day for camogie in the county , we can only hope that all these players look back on this over the coming years and remember the fun and craic they can have when they play camogie. As ever, we are seeking girls/camogie players to join our friendly and sociable club with mixed standards based in South London. We have several deals of sponsorship but are desperately seeking players - all we want to do is continue playing camogie. We would be very grateful for your help and if you could let us know if you are able to pass on our contact details to any girls you think may be coming to London and would be interested in playing with our club. Our club was formed in the late 1980s and we have been constantly struggling since then to find players. Please feel free to pass on my email details or my mobile number (0044 7880 727476). Our club website is www.greenislecamogie.co.uk. Thank you for your help and assistance in this matter. Yours faithfully Michelle McClafferty Green Isle Camogie Club
