Brady hopeful of CCCC co-operation
July 31, 2008
Armagh County Chairman Kevin Brady has refused to give up hope that the Central Competitions Control Committee will have a re-think and afford the Orchard County the chance to play their forthcoming All-Ireland SFC quarter-final at Croke Park.
The CCCC has confirmed that two of the upcoming four quarter-finals will be placed outside of Croke Park and Brady has pleaded with the GAA to think again about their decision.
"We would be extremely disappointed, both on the part of the players and our supporters," Brady explained.
"I don't want to be too critical of the CCCC as I am hoping we can resolve all this. We hope they can take into account our players, fans and the present economic climate.
"I feel that it reflects less than due consideration for the present Ulster and Connacht champions."
