Andy Mallon ruled out of quarter-final

July 29, 2008
Armagh defender Andy Mallon has been ruled out of his side's All-Ireland quarter-final after breaking his arm in last Sunday's Ulster final replay with Fermanagh. The Pearse Og clubman endured the injury after a collision with a Fermanagh player in their Ulster success on Sunday and will be a huge blow to the Ulster Champions as they will now line-out without him for their last eight clash on the weekend of August 8-9. The 2005 had been having a strong Championship up to now and Peter McDonnell will certainly be hoping he the corner-back will have a speedy recovery so as he can return for an All-Ireland semi-final if Armagh were to get there.
