Ladies take on Waterford this Sunday
July 24, 2008
Armagh Ladies face Waterford this Sunday at Mullingar in the qualifying rounds of the TG4 All-Ireland SFC.
Jim Finnegan's side return to Championship action after a seven-week wait following their ousting from the Ulster SFC in the quarter-final stage at the hands of Donegal.
Waterford are a division below Armagh in the National League, but the Orchard ladies will certainly not be taking anything for granted as the Championship is knockout from here on in.
Ace attacker Sharon Ducan has been ruled out of the St Loman's Park clash with a broken thumb which comes as a blow to Finnegan as she provides the option of left-footed frees.
However with the likes of Bronagh McDonnell and co, Armagh should be able to progress without her if the other forward are on form.
Throw-in time at St Loman's Park is at 4.15, with the game set to be televised live on TG4.
