Tony Kernan attributes Crossmaglen's victory over Kilcoo to their ability to play "manly football".

The Armagh champions ground out a battling victory over their Down conterparts on Sunday to advance to this year's Ulster club decider and Kernan - who was their best player in Newry - points out how Cross' passed that test by resisting attempts to goad them:

"I think the way Kilcoo play people thought we might react and maybe lose our discipline," he told The Irish Daily Mirror. "But whatever was said, we had to completely take it on the chin and play football in a manly way.

"I think we're known for playing manly football and honest football and that's what we're proud of. It was a tough Ulster club game."
