Aaron Kernan says that Crossmaglen Rangers must keep their discipline if they are to have any chance of overcoming Kilcoo in tomorrow's Ulster club SFC semi-final.

Previous meetings between the two clubs have been bad-tempered, with 2013's quarter-final clash seeing Paul McKeown and Stephen Kernan sent off in extra time, and Kernan believes that the Armagh champions it's something that Armagh champions can't let happen again if they are to overcome their Down counterparts.

"Kilcoo is a great draw for us and there is a bit of rivalry between the teams," Kernan told the Irish Daily Mirror. "But the big focus for us this year is to show a bit of composure and use our experience.

"Last year when the pressure came on against Omagh we lost our discipline and our shape. We need to keep everybody on the field to win these big games and it was important for the younger boys especially to get the win over Cargin.

"It was our first win in Ulster for three years and it was good for them to sample that and it's good for confidence."

Kernan predicts both of the Ulster semi-finals this weekend to be intriguing contests.

"There's going to be two cracking semi-finals," said the former Armagh All Star.

"We know we showed in glimpses against Cargin what we're capable of, but we'll need a hell of a lot more of it this time."
