Kieran McGeeney was lamenting Armagh's lack of scoring power after their championship exit at the hands of Galway.

Damien Comer's fisted goal seven minutes into the second half proved crucial as the Tribesmen came away from the Athletic Grounds with a 1-12 to 0-12 win.

"We played well for most of the game," the Orchard County boss is quoted in the Irish News.

"It was a soft goal, but what has been killing us all year is not getting more than the 12 scores on the board. I have said it before and it is hurting us.
"We have to be a bit more clinical in front of the nets. We also had chances against Donegal and didn't take them. They had two half chances and they took both of them. That's the difference between the teams."

'Geezer' expects Armagh to come back stronger in 2016.

"We're into Division 2 and we will be playing teams like Galway and Tyrone and hopefully playing at a higher level will tighten us up a bit.

"It's disappointing, but that's what happens in the draw. You get two tough teams and one of them has to go out. It was us today."
