Dyas and Shields to miss qualifier

Armagh's Kevin Dyas

Armagh manager Kieran McGeeney is planning without the services of Mark Shields and Kevin Dyas for Saturday's round one qualifier against Wicklow at home.

A recurring knee injury limited Dyas' participation against Donegal to a sub role while Shields was absent because of damaged fingers.

'Geezer' isn't taking the Garden County, who ran Meath close in the Leinster SFC, for granted: "I played a lot of football against Wicklow in my time and they will hold no fear of Armagh," he told The Irish News.

"They have a big full-forward line so I am sure they will be looking to pump high ball in and get as many shots as they did against Meath. So we know what's coming.

"We know we will have our fill of it."
