Armagh stay out of the picture

In keeping with their recent 'media ban', the Armagh team refused to cooperate with photographers by having their picture taken before today's clash with Donegal.

The photographers were lined up before the game to take the traditional pre-match team photo, only for Paul Grimley's men to run past the bench. However, Grimley did speak to the media after the Orchard County's narrow defeat, saying: "I always felt once we got up and running this year it would take a very good team to beat us."

While interviews had been granted intermittently to some reporters since the 'ban' was enforced before Armagh's Ulster SFC quarter-final against Cavan on June 8, lines of communication with most media outlets had been shut down throughout the Orchard County's seven-match championship campaign.

Earlier this week, the Ulster county infuriated journalists by cancelling a scheduled press briefing at the Carrickdale Hotel in Ravensdale at the 11th hour.
