Clarke unconcerned

Armagh's Jamie Clarke
Jamie Clarke isn't getting too bothered about anything - at least not until the championship starts!

Armagh find themselves in relegation peril going into their final league game against Donegal this weekend but, while admitting that he'd love to stay in Division Two, Clarke isn't panicking:

"We want to stay at this level because it's great for development and building towards the championship," the Crossmaglen sharpshooter says in The Irish News.

"But, at the end of the day, say we went out and won the league and were beaten in the first round of the championship, what good is that?

"We haven't really been focussed on results. We're not too bothered about other teams. Now, we know it's important to stay up but it's about performance, gelling better as a group and as a team. We're building towards something.

"There is going to come a time where it is going to click in Armagh. We're not really in the winning habit yet. Because of the way things have gone over the last number of years, we've been focussed on actually getting wins and we've not been playing to our strengths and not playing together.

"We're not concerned one bit about winning the games - we're just concerned about Armagh and what we do. We're not concerned about who we're playing."
