HL2B: Armagh goals sink Rossies

March 11, 2013
Armagh 3-15
Roscommon 2-11

Three goals in the third quarter propelled Armagh to an impressive victory over Roscommon in Athleague.

Conor Corvan scored two of them to bring his tally for the afternoon to 2-2. The first came in the 43rd minute with his second following less than 60 seconds later. Declan Coulter added a third in the 51st minute to put seven points between the sides, and there was no way back for the hosts after that.

The outcome could have been very different had Roscommon not be so wasteful when favoured by the strong wind in the opening half.
