HL2B: London come away with points

February 25, 2013
London 0-21
Armagh 0-14

With Gerard Hennelly to the fore, London recorded an impressive win over Armagh in the opening round of the league.

The corner forward produced an exhibition of point scoring, including six second half scores to help the Exiles claim maximum points at the Athletic Grounds.

Armagh trailed by five at the interval (0-12 to 0-7). And fell further behind after the break as London raced into an 0-18 to 0-11 lead.

The Orchard County were out of luck when referee Gerard Duffy ruled out a claim for a penalty. Conor Corvan, who was not deemed to be fouled also had a disallowed goal.

Both sides were reduced to 14-men following an off the ball incident. Cathal Carvill (Armagh) and James Regan (London) saw red.
