The GAA have stated that separating rival supporters at matches is not an issue they will be following through.
GAA administrator Fergal McGill released a statement saying that segregation at matches was 'not a part of the GAA's culture."
This follows remarks from the Dr Crokes club where it was alleged that they called for segregation at their All-Ireland club SFC semi-final clash against Crossmaglen Rangers in three weeks, although the club have clarified that is not what they were actually saying.
The matter of segregation has only come to the fore since last weekend when violent scenes during the All-Ireland club JFC semi final between Dromid Pearses and Derrytresk saw supporters come down from the stand at O'Moore Park to get involved in a mass brawl.
