Orchard star Toner heads Down Under

Armagh's Kieran Toner
Armagh midfielder Kieran Toner has emigrated to Australia for work reasons.

The 24-year-old - winner of two Anglo-Celt Cups with Armagh - is a joiner by trade and has found employment Down Under. But manager Paddy O'Rourke still hopes to have him back on board for the 2012 championship:

"Kieran Toner has gone to Australia but we are fairly hopeful he will be back in the Spring.

"That's the programme for it but there's nothing to say he won't get on that well, or like Australia that well - there's no firm decision made on that.

"That's what we chatted about before he went away. He went for work reasons.

"He's very young - only 24 this year. He's a very experienced player for that age and he's a big, big player for us.

"He'll be a massive miss but, again, we'd hope we'll have him back and he's the sort of fella, if he comes back, he'll be in good shape."
