High noon for minors

29 July 2010

Armagh's minors enter last chance saloon against Cork at Croke Park on Sunday.

The Orchard County go into the quarter-final as defending All-Ireland champions, but they need to seriously improve from their dismal display against Tyrone in the Ulster final.

Key to their chances will be the availability or otherwise of captain Peter Carragher, whose absence through injury was a major factor in the provincial final flop.

The battle-hardened Rebels won three games to come out of Munster, beating Clare and Tipperary by three points each before seeing off Kerry in the final by a single point.
