McKeever relishing Dublin showdown

Armagh's Ciaran McKeever
Ciaran McKeever has claimed Dublin was the draw every Armagh supporter wanted in the third round of the All-Ireland qualifiers.

Next Saturday's meeting at Croke Park will revive memories of the famous 2002 All-Ireland semi-final clash between the sides which Armagh won after the upright denied Dublin and Ray Cosgrove a replay.

"It is a tough draw, but we just have to be ready and get back to the drawing board," Armagh skipper McKeever said.

"It is the draw that all the fans wanted. It will be a tough game, but it should make for some day in Croke Park on Saturday."

McKeever expressed satisfaction with the Orchard County's 0-11 to 0-7 victory over Fermanagh at Brewster Park yesterday.

"We are happy enough, it was all about getting into the hat for the draw for the next round."
Manager Paddy O'Rourke said: "No-one has come here and put up a big score for the past eight years. We said it would probably be a low-scoring game."
