Kernan appointed to Ulster job
August 29, 2008
Former Armagh boss Joe Kernan has taken the reins as the new Ulster manager for this year's M Donnelly inter-provincial competition.
The All-Ireland winning manager was appointed at an Ulster Council meeting last night (Thursday) and succeeds Brian McEniff in the position, after the Donegal native led the northern province to success last year.
It is Kernan's first managerial appointment since stepping down as Armagh manager at the end of last season, and the Crossmaglen native has made it clear that he will not be taking any senior inter-county positions as long as his four sons are involved in the Armagh senior set-up.
