Antrim include three debutants

June 29, 2001
Antrim have handed championship debuts to three players for Sunday's Ulster Hurling semi-final meeting with Down at Casement Park. Damien Quinn, a 21-year-old from Shamrocks, takes over in goals from Shane Elliot who retired earlier this season. The others newcomers are Charlie McAllister and Michael Kettle who are selected at full back and right half back respectively. The team shows several changes from that which lost the Ulster final to Derry 12 months ago. In all, only three players, Eamonn O'Hara, Conor Cunning and Alistair Elliot retain the same positions. Antrim (SHC v Down): D Quinn; E O'Hara, C McAllister, C McCambridge; M Kettle, K Kelly, K Herron; A Delargy, C Cunning; P Graham, Gregory O'Kane, M McCambridge; J McIntosh, J Connolly, A Elliot.
