Antrim's Neil McManus
Antrim captain Neil McManus is challenging his team to build on their Leinster SHC preliminary round win over Westmeath against Laois on Saturday.
The Saffrons accounted for the Lake County by 3-18 to 2-13 last Sunday week, and are now preparing to meet the Allianz Hurling League Division 2A champions at O'Moore Park for a place in the provincial quarter-final.
"There is a serious buzz about the camp. It is probably aided by the fact that the team is so young," he enthused in the Irish News.
"There is a serious banter within the group as well. Whenever things start to roll in your direction, there is nothing that can't happen.
"Certainly, it is about momentum and that's what we feel we have built since last month and it is all about maintaining that. We are under no illusions about how tough the task is going to be against Laois.
"They are on the crest of a wave too, having won Division 2A, and they are going to be looking forward to the occasion as well, especially with them having home advantage."
