McGourty facing long layoff

Antrim's CJ McGourty
The Antrim footballers have suffered a major blow with the news that CJ McGourty will be sidelined for several months.
The highly-rated St. Gall's attacker fractured a fibular bone above the left ankle during UUJ's Dr McKenna Cup defeat on Saturday night to Derry who, ironically, welcomed back star forward Paddy Bradley after a nine-month cruciate ligament layoff.
"It's very bad luck on CJ, really sickening for him. For us it's a terrible blow and there was no contact before it happened," Jordanstown manager Adrian McGuckin said.
"He seemed to twist and go down. There wasn't any challenge or anything. Maybe his boot stuck in the ground. Sadly, that is how the majority of breaks like that happen, a simple thing like turning. It's very, very disappointing for CJ," added McGuckin, who revealed that his side have now lost five players to injury ahead of the start of the Sigerson Cup next month.
