Cahill in awe of Tipp

August 23, 2010
Dinny Cahill's worst fears were realised when his native Tipperary dished out a 28-point hammering to Antrim in Saturday's Bord Gais Energy All-Ireland U21HC semi-final.

"We knew before we started that we were up against one of the best teams that are in this competition," the Antrim manager said.

"They were All-Ireland (minor) champions a few years ago and it looks as if they will have a good go at the under 21 title as well. That's a serious team. When you see how many of them are involved with the senior team, it just goes to show how strong they are."

Cahill insisted that the Saffrons were powerless to avoid a hammering.

"We could do nothing about. They're a good team, that's the bottom line."
