Antrim Hurls for All of Ulster

Antrim forward Liam 'Winker' Watson picks up some hurls from Micheal Scullion ahead of this weekend's clash with Cork
This Sunday the Antrim hurlers will be going into battle well equipped for the task in hand. Coached by Dinny Cahill and former Cork trainer Jerry Walls, with a number of players using hurls supplied by well known Loughgiel hurley maker Scullion Hurls. The match pits Scullions against O'Connors on the field, and in workshop!

Scullion Hurls supplied many of the sticks used by the Antrim defeated in the 1989 All Ireland Final. For Micheal Scullion there is a neat symmetry.

"My father would have made a lot of the sticks used by the boys in 1989 and it's nice for myself to supply the likes of Liam Watson and PJ OConnell and my own brother of course!"

Irrespective of what sticks they are playing with Micheal has his fingers crossed for success.
"I suppose no-one gives us a chance but on the day you never know.

Cork have a few injuries since last week. I just want to wish to Antrim team all the best. It's a great boost for Antrim and Ulster hurling and I know from chatting to people the whole province is behind them."
