Kelly wary of getting blown away by Gaels

October 31, 2008
St. Gall's defender Sean Kelly has sounded a note of caution ahead of his side's Ulster club clash with Cavan Gaels by insisting that the Breffni men will be a tougher proposition this Sunday than in 2007. The sides met in last year's competition with the Belfast-based side coming out on top but Kelly says the Gaels are a much improved side these days: "We beat Cavan Gaels last year with Seanie Johnston on one leg and there were other players who were carrying injuries," Kelly pointed out. "Johnston said in the newspaper earlier this week that their fitness levels weren't what they should have been when they played us last year. "But we know that this is going to be a tougher match than the Mayobridge match. You look at the Cavan Gaels team and there are maybe eight or nine players that play inter-county football."
