Braniff to captain Ulster

Down's Paul Braniff will captain the Ulster hurlers in tomorrow's inter-provincial semi-final against Munster at Fermoy. The highly-rated forward had been chosen as captain two years ago, only to be ruled out after suffering a second cruciate ligament injury. The Ulster squad, which was finalised by manager Dominic McKinley yesterday, will overnight in Kilkenny before travelling on to Fermoy tomorrow morning.
