Sean Taggart RIP.

Naomh Comhghall CLG have posted a heartfelt tribute to late clubman Sean Taggart.

A popular GAA stalwart, 48-year-old Sean died suddenly on Tuesday morning and was laid to rest yesterday:

"It is with deep regret that the club has to inform you of the passing of our esteemed friend, member and club volunteer Sean Taggart," the club wrote on its Facebook page.

"Sean was quite a unique fellow in our club, everybody knew Sean Taggart.

"Whatever the club was doing or planning Sean was always there as a major part of it.

"Sean was a valued helper and supporter of our many teams, most notably our senior team.

He would quite often be heard on our sideline offering advice and encouragement to our players, as well as giving plenty of advice to the other teams players, and even on the very odd occasion to the match officials.

"There are many things we will miss about Sean, but the main thing that sticks with us is Sean's enthusiasm for his club and that enthusiasm rubbed off on our teams, players, coaches and committees over the many years he was involved.

"Sean you are a great friend of ours and you will be sadly missed, but you will not be forgotten, rest in peace.

"Go mbeannaí Dia thú."
