Duleek/Bellewstown ...... 0-12 Moynalty ......................... 1-7 In their second year of existence Duleek/Bellewstown claimed the club's first piece of silverware when their second string side won the Teach na Teamhrach JFC B title with a narrow margin win over Moynalty at Pairc Tailteann on Monday. While the outcome was memorable for the Duleek/Bellewstown club it was a bitter blow to Moynalty's bid to regain the Junior A status they lost at the end of 2004. Duleek/Bellewstown - who needed two attempts to shake off Dunshaughlin at the 'semi' stage - made the early running and were always on the front foot. Stephen Nolan accounted for half of the winners total with five of his six points coming from placed balls. The experienced Casey Dunne was a driving force for Duleek/Bellewstown from midfield and the eventual winners of the Larry Kearns Cup put an early deposit on the spoils by going 0-4 to 0-0 ahead in the opening quarter. The outcome might have been different if Moynalty were able to convert more of the goal chances that came their way. As things transpired their goal came courtesy of Paul Govern in the last meaningful action of the game. Duleek/Bellewstown's set down a marker with three Nolan pointed frees before Colin Duignan added their first flag from open play. Matters improved for Moynalty as the half wore but just over a third of the hour had elapsed when Michael Lynch opened their account. The first of Stephen Blackburn's five pointed frees soon followed and by half the north Meath men were just two points in arrears, 0-3 to 0-5. Within minutes of the restart the gap was up to three again when Nolan landed another free. The margin was the same when Ronan Tormay sent over his side second and final point from play, when there was a goal on the cards, seven minutes after the restart. Shortly after Damien Coldrick fired directly at Duleek/Bellewstown netminder Adam Everard. Dunne came to his side's rescue when Moynalty's Sean Lynch tried to find the net at the O'Mahonys end from a close range free. Another experienced player Bryan Cudden - who made a big impact in the drawn semi-final with Dunshaughlin - helped maintain Duleek/Bellewstown's advantage with a brace of second-half points from play. John Flood also got off the mark as Kenny McDonnell's men moved five points clear in the latter stages and the wing-forward become his sides sixth scorer from play over the hour. Then came Govern's goal and while it altered the complexion of the final scoreline it had no impact on the outcome. Duleek/ Bellewstown - A. Everard; O. Curley, S. McArdle, A. Reilly; B. Moore, P.
