Roscommon GAA is in mourning following the tragic passing of Harry Crowley in a road accident.

Aged in his 60s, the Oran clubman scored two points from full forward in Roscommon’s famous All-Ireland U21FC final victory over Kerry in 1978. He was also a talented hurler who captained Oran to back-to-back Roscommon SHC titles in 1989 and '90, and was hugely respected in local GAA circles.

Harry passed away on Sunday morning following a single-vehicle collision at Carrigans Park in Donamon. He was the sole occupant of the car.

His body was taken to University Hospital Galway for a post-mortem.
