Last Sunday week was a special day for the Gallagher family from Mullingar.
Stephen Gallagher won his third successive Westmeath SFC medal with St. Loman's. In doing so, he emulated his father Olly and fellow goalkeeper, who won a three-in-a-row of Westmeath SHC medals with St. Brigid's in 1970, '71 and '72. It was Stephen's fifth senior championship medal, having won his first with UCD in Dublin in 2006.
Both Stephen and Olly are holders of four Westmeath senior championship medals.
