A disappointing day at Croke Park for the Meath ladies was compounded by an apparent mix-up in the giant-sized jersey representing them on Hill 16.
The jersey, which adorned the terrace along with one from opponents Dublin, looked more like a Kerry one, prompting some to suggest online that it was disrespectful to the Royals, who were well beaten in front of a crowd of 48,089.
The ‘You Boys in Blue’ Facebook page said: “The biggest day for many of the Meath girls in years and the LGFA can't even be bothered to get the right jersey.”
