Sligo footballers have been busy over the past week as they played two challenge matches in preparation for their Connacht SFC opener.

The Yeats County take on either Galway or London next month and manager Pat Flanagan has been busy preparing the side by playing a number of challenge matches.

Last Wednesday, they took on Leitrim in Carrick-on-Shannon and it was the home side that came out on top in this one.

Then on Sunday, Sligo played Laois in two matches, one consisting of 60 minutes and one of 40 minutes. Laois won the first match on a scoreline of 2-10 to 0-08, while Sligo emerged winners in the second by 0-10 to 1-06. Tweet
