On a blustery day in Kingspan Breffni Park Cavan GAA hosted the very first annual Poc Fada.

In a new initiative by the GAA the Poc Fada will be brought to every county in the country. Giving both U16 and senior hurlers the opportunity to become county and provincial champions and ultimately leading into the All Ireland competition.

Over the last number of months planning between Tony Fawl (National Poc Fada committee) and Cavan GAA has taken place to ensure the smooth running of the event.

This year Sean Keating (St Feilim's Hurling Club) won the U16 grade while Luke O'Dea (Mullahoran St Josephs) was victorious in the senior grade.

We would like to thank all competitors who took part this year. Next we aim to make it a bigger and even better event!
