Blotto Draw
The Blotto Draw took place in The Crosskeys Inn on Monday 15th August. The winning numbers were 5,6,8,30. There was no jackpot winner. The weekly winners of E30 were Marion Farrelly Ranrenagh, Laurence Fallon, Norma Fitzsimons Lismeen, Billy Thompson, Barry Smith, Tullytrain. The next draw will be on Monday 22nd August in The Carraig Springs. Jackpot is now E2,000.
Hotel Kilmore Senior Championship
Denn are through to the Quarter Finals of the Hotel Kilmore Senior Championship after beating Cuchullains on a scoreline of 1-11 to 1-8. Denn will play Belturbet in the upcoming Quarter Final.
Minor Championship
Denn will play Ballyhaise in the Quarter Final of the Minor Championship on Tuesday 16th August in St Matthews Park Crosskeys at 7.30pm. This is the first time in many years that Denn have played in Division 1 of the Minor Championship so please come out and support the team.
Under 13 Championship.
Good luck to the Denn Under 13 team who play Knockbride in the Under 13 Roinn B Final on the 3G pitch in Kingspan Breffni Park on Wednesday evening 17th August at 6.45pm. Please come out and support the team.
Denn Camogie Club
Well done to the Under 14 Camgie team who won their final on Friday last. Training for all players on Tue & Thur at 6pm. U-18 league starts on 24th Aug. The U-16 Ulster Blitz will start soon.
Under Age Girls Football
All Under-8 and Under-10 girls interested in playing Gaelic football are invited to training in Crosskeys each Friday evening from 6.30 to 7.30pm.
Farewell Presentation to Fr Jason
The Parish Pastoral Council, together with representatives from various organisations in the parish met on Monday night last to organise a farewell presentation to Fr Jason.. At that meeting it was decided that there will be a Mass of Thanksgiving in St Matthew's Church, Drumavaddy on Fri. 2nd September at 8.30pm. After the Mass there will be music and refreshments, a dance with music by Ian Pickens, and presentations to Fr Jason in the Community Centre. It will be an opportunity for the whole parish community to say thanks to Fr Jason for all his work in the parish over the past nine years and to wish him every blessing as he takes up his new appointment in Bruskey.
Club Membership
2011 Club Membership is now due. The new membership year for the GAA now runs from April 1st to March 31st in the following year. In order to be entitled to the rights of a full member, a person must have their fees paid to the club. Stand alone adult membership is E40 for the year. Combined membership and blotto remains the same as last year. Membership for the club is due 25th February. Contact any committee member. Anyone that uses the club's facilities, even if it is only walking around the pitch must be fully paid up members.
