City GAA Board Notes

July 08, 2008
In the opening round of the Horse & Hound Bar Mulgrave St. City Junior B Hurling Championship Pallaskenry recorded a missive victory over Milford 7-26 to1-06. This was as comprehensive a win as the score line suggests with Pallaskenry getting their defence of the City Junior B Hurling Championship off to the perfect start. The direct style of hurling paid rich dividends from the start with the Pallaskenry full forward line of Kenny Rogers (1-02), Damien O,ÄôBrien (1-02) and Daniel Hannon (2-03) all on the score sheet in the first fifteen minutes of the game. There was no let up before half time with Damien O,ÄôBrien scoring his second and Pallaskenry,Äôs fifth goal to leave the scores at 5-15 to Milfords 0-02. In the second half it was all systems go from the west of the city team, with the midfield and half forwards turn to get in on the scoring act with the two Enrights brothers Keith & Adrian, and Shane Loftus adding to our already impressive tally. While the Pallaskenry management may not have learned a lot from this encounter it keeps the Pallaskenry machine going and continue with their winning run following their victory in the City Junior B League final.
