SENIOR LEAGUE
On Sunday in the park our seniors recorded their 5th win of the Division 1 Leitrim Senior League with a decisive win over the visiting Aughnasheelin. Manor dominated proceedings from the off running up 1-5 to no score lead before Aughnasheelin were awarded a penalty and had no problem converting it. However Aughnasheelin only managed one more score in this half with Manorhamilton leading by 11 points at half time. Manor allowed Aughnasheelin to get back into the game in the second half however were a lot stronger throughout. Final Score: Glencar/Manor 1-16, Aughnasheelin 2-6. Full match report elsewhere in paper.
JUNIOR LEAGUE
On Sunday our Junior team faced neighbours Glenfarne/Kilty in the Division 5 Junior League. Both team were well up for the challenge in the first half with just two points separating the teams at half time, however Manor upped the pace in the second half and ran out easy winners on a scoreline of Glencar/Manor 2-18, Glenfarne/Kilty 1-10. A novel day for the Hickey's with no less than 5 out of 5 brothers lining out for Glencar/Manor, Niall, Gary, Gerry, Alan & Arron and with Niall getting Manors 2 goals while all the other four Hickeys managed to get on the score sheet between them scoring 15 of Manors 18 points with Evan Sweeney, Dermot McMorrow & Ian Feeney getting a point each of the 18 points scored.
