Gaelic Gear gives London the boots
May 24, 2005
Gaelic Gear, the GAA clothing and equipment manufacturer, is now the official supplier of boots for the London football and hurling teams. The football boot, which is officially endorsed by GAA headquarters and has received Wexford player Matty Forde's seal of approval, was first worn by the team in last weekend's hurling match against Down at Casement Park.
This London deal follows an exclusive partnership agreement with the European Board of the GAA. Under the terms of the four year deal, Gaelic Gear will be the official manufacturer and supplier of all county teams within the European Board.
Managing Director of Gaelic Gear, Paul Campbell, said: "We're delighted that London footballers and hurlers have chosen the Gaelic Gear boot as their preferred footwear on the pitch. Last year the top scorer in the championship Matty Forde gave his seal of approval by opting to wear Gaelic Gear's football boots for championship football in 2005.
"The boot is technically superb, it offers maximum ball control and is durable. The Gaelic Gear boot is made for comfort and accuracy offering players the choice of screw in studs or multi-stud sole."
Gaelic Gear is the exclusive manufacturer and distributor of sports clothing and equipment for counties Wexford, Down and Fermanagh. It is also the exclusive manufacturer and distributor of sports clothing and equipment for County Galway hurlers. Internationally Gaelic Gear has contracts with the NYPD in New York.
