Donard/Glen club notes

November 03, 2008
No action on the playing fields last week. All competitions finished for the clubs. A note from our camogie club who entered a 7 a side  competition in Clane some weeks ago involving teams from a few Leinster counties. Our girls were in top form and wound up the eventual winners of the tournament beating the reigning champions from Westmeath. Well done girls. We would all like to wish Caitriona McGrath a get well soon. She is in Naas Hospital and is missed be all her comrades in the ladies football club. Best of luck to George Quinlan who got married in Australia last Friday. George was junior goalie for a good few years. The compromise rules games this year were a great success and Wicklow man Leighton Glynn was one of the stars. I think the G A A should look at the game and insert some of the rules into our game. You will all agree some kind of tackle is needed in our football game. Lotto results for last Monday 27th October. The winning numbers were 16, 19, 27 and 28. There was no winner and four match threes
