Adult Football:
The clubs senior footballers had a deserved three point win over Owen Roes in the semi-final of Joe McGarrity League Cup last Sunday at Páirc Mhic Sioghair and will now play Aghaloo in the final on a date yet to be decided upon.
The senior footballers have a very important league game next Wednesday night 3rd September at home to Glenelly. Throw-in time is fixed for 7:30pm at Páirc Mhic Sioghair and all support for the team would be very welcome.
The Tyrone Junior Championship replay against Augher will probably be played next weekend most likely on the Sunday.
The clubs reserve footballers lost to Fintona 1-16 to 1-12 after extra time in the final of the Joe McGarrity Reserve Shield at Drumquin last Thursday night. Thanks are extended to all those who came along to support the team.
On Tuesday night past the reserve footballers had a walkover against Drumquin in the league. Tonight (Thursday) the reserve footballers will have a home game in the league against Newtownstewart. Throw-in time is fixed for 7:15pm and all players are asked to be at the clubrooms by 6:30pm. Following this hectic schedule the only remaining league game for the reserves will be an away fixture to Clogher as the side bids to lift the league title knowing that they need maximum points from their remaining three games.
Training for the clubs senior and reserve teams continues on Wednesday and Friday nights at Páirc Mhic Sioghair. All players are asked to be on the pitch and ready to go for 7:40pm each night. Any players who are unable to attend any of the sessions are asked to ensure that they contact Dermot or Dessie.
The club intends to order the new club shorts and socks and are appealing to all adult players to ensure that they purchase such. Anyone interested in buying shorts and socks at a cost of £15:00 should contact Paddy Jack as soon as possible.
Youth Football:
The Juvenile footballers lost away to Dromore in the league last Wednesday night but then recorded a good win at home to Beragh on Saturday morning. On Wednesday night past they were away to Omagh in the league whilst this Saturday they will travel to play Carrickmore in the Juvenile Championship. Transport will leave the clubrooms at 12:30pm sharp. All players should bring £1:50 for the bus and also bring a water bottle.
Next Monday night, the Juveniles will travel to play Beragh in the league. Transport will leave the clubrooms at 5:45pm sharp. All players should bring £1:50 for the bus and also bring a water bottle.
The Juveniles are also due to play Cappagh next Wednesday night but with the senior team playing at home to Glenelly, this game will be rearranged to another date. On Monday 8th September, the Juveniles are at home to Omagh.
Coaching for the clubs Juvenile (Under 16's) footballers will continue every Tuesday night from 6:30pm - 7:30pm at Páirc Mhic Sioghair, all new players welcome.
Coaching for the clubs Under 13 footballers continues on Wednesday nights at Páirc Mhic Sioghair from 6:30-7:30pm. All eligible players welcome to attend. There will be a challenge game for the Under 13's at Páirc Mhic Sioghair next Monday night at 7:00pm. All players are asked to be at the clubrooms by 6:30pm. The Tyrone Under 13 league will commence next Thursday night 4th September with a home game against Dromore. On Monday 8th September, the Under 13 footballers are away to Omagh.
The clubs Under 12 footballers lost at home to Omagh in the Under 12 Go Games league last Thursday night. Last Monday nights game against Dromore will be rearranged and all players will be notified.
The Under 10 footballers will travel to play in a Blitz organised by Aghyaran this Saturday. Transport will leave the clubrooms at 9:30am sharp. All players are asked to bring £1:50 for the bus, a water bottle and a packed lunch.
This Saturday 30th August the Under 8 footballers will travel to Errigal Ciarán to play in a Tyrone Go Games Blitz. Transport will leave the clubrooms at 9:15am sharp. All players should bring £1:50 for the bus and also bring a water bottle.
Coaching for the clubs Under 12, 10 and 8 age groups continues on Saturday mornings from 11:00am -12noon and on Tuesday nights from 7:00pm -8:00pm. New players are always welcome.
Ladies Football:
The senior ladies were due to play at home to Clann na nGael in the league last night (Wednesday). A date for the re-fixture against Kildress still hasn't been decided upon.
Training for the Senior Ladies continues on Monday nights at Páirc Mhic Sioghair from 6:30pm - 7:30pm. Training is also on Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:30pm. On Monday night past the Juvenile girls had a fine win away to Edendork in the league. Best wishes to Hollie Friel who injured her ankle in that game and thanks to Sheila McKelvey and Kate Bonnar who assisted in taking Hollie to hospital.
Next Monday night the Juvenile girls will play at home to Cookstown Fr Rocks. Throw-in time is fixed for 7:00pm and all players should be at the pitch by 6:30pm.
Sigersons Juvenile girls will play Aghyaran in the Tyrone Ladies Grade 3 Juvenile Championship semi-final. That game is due to be played on Saturday 13th September.
Coaching for the clubs Juvenile Ladies squad will continue on Monday and Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:30pm. New players are very welcome. Any queries contact Isaac Hassan, Mickey Joe Friel or Marty Conway.
There will be training for all Under 14, 12 and 10 girls at the club grounds from 6:45pm-8:00pm every Tuesday night. All new players are very welcome.
All female players are asked to ensure that they have their registration fees fully paid up.
Ádh Mór Tír Eoghain:
Good Luck to Tyrone senior footballers against Wexford in the All Ireland semi-final on Sunday and also to the Tyrone minor footballers against Meath. Let's hope that both sides can make it through to their respective finals.
All Ireland semi-final Tickets:
Tickets for the All Ireland semi-final, Tyrone v Wexford (Senior) and Tyrone v Meath (Minor) will be allocated tonight (Thursday) 28th August in the Social Club at 8:30pm and must be paid for upon collection. Only those who have pre booked tickets will be allocated such.
Aidan McAnespie's:
Comhghairdeas to club players Danny McBride and Stephen "Benny" McGettigan who both played their part to help Aidan McAnespie's win the Boston Senior Championship title last Sunday.
Sean McIntyre:
Best wishes to club referee Sean McIntyre who will be hoping to take charge of the All Ireland Juvenile decider between Cork and Galway this Sunday in Nenagh at the third time of asking owing to the inclement weather.
Club gear & Leisurewear:
Anyone interested in ordering any club gear, shorts, socks, kit bags, polo shirts or tracksuits should contact Kieran O'Kane without delay. This also applies also to adult members.
400 Club Draw:
The 400 Club draws for July & August will take place tomorrow night (Friday) 29th August. All returns should be made to Ignatius Maguire or Aodhán Harkin by tonight (Thursday) 28th August at the very latest. All Promoters should ensure that they have their returns up to date. There will be no further draws until all outstanding monies are in. Go raibh míle maith agaibh go léir.
Membership Fees:
The club membership for 2008 is now officially closed. Social Membership can still be paid and any new playing members at adult or youth levels (male and female) will also be accepted.

Sympathy:

Charity Fun Weekend:
The Clubs big Charity Fun Weekend was held last weekend and despite the poor weather on the Saturday an outstanding weekend of events was held with over £4,000 raised on behalf of the Royal Victoria Hospital for Sick Children/Neo Natal Unit in Belfast. The club extends its warmest thanks to everyone who played any role in supporting or helping out at the many events organised. A lot of people put a lot of effort in but in fear of omitting someone, the club extends a broad word of thanks to everyone for their massive effort right throughout the weekend. Social Activities:
Entertainment continues as usual in the Social Club this weekend. Friday Night: Annual Jim McAleer Quiz organised by Cairde. Everyone welcome. Sunday: Live G.A.A. games on the big screen: Tyrone v Meath @ 12:15pm, Kerry v Cork @ 2:00pm and Tyrone v Wexford @ 4:00pm.
