Tipperary moved into the Munster U20 hurling championship final thanks to an emphatic 4-20 to 2-8 win against Limerick at the TUS Gaelic Grounds last night.
Goals from David Costigan (2), Jamie Ormond and Cormac Fitzpatrick helped the holders to run out 18-point winners and book their place in the southern province’s decider on score difference.
Brendan Cummins's side had held a 2-11 to 0-4 lead at half-time before goals from Costigan and Fitzpatrick, who finished with 1-9, in the game’s third quarter insured there’d be no way back for the home side.
Meanwhile, Cork will have home advantage for their Munster U20HC semi-final after defeating Clare by 4-19 to 2-21 at Supervalu Pairc Ui Chaoimh.
Barry Walsh (1-5), Finn O'Brien, Johnny Murphy and Barry O'Flynn all grabbed goals for the Rebels who will host the Banner lads again next Wednesday night with a place in the final against Tipp up for grabs.
