Castletown Liam Mellows cruised into the last four of the Wexford senior football championship thanks to a 1-21 to 1-12 win over HWH Bunclody at Chadwicks Wexford Park last night.
The defending champions edged a 0-9 to 0-7 lead when Jonathan Bealin struck their goal in the 29th minute to go on and hold a five-point lead at half-time.

Bealin landed a couple of two-pointers early in the restart to extend Castletown’s lead and the scores of Rory Heffernan and Jack Higgins would make it a 10-point came come the 45th minute.
Bunclody pulled a goal back through skipper Oisin O'Ceallaigh with three minutes remaining, but proved mere consolation for them as the holders comfortably returned to the semi-finals in pursuit of their third title in four years.
The other quarter-finals down for decision in the Wexford SFC this weekend see Glynn-Barntown and Gusserane meeting at 5.30pm this evening before a double ahead Chadwicks Wexford Park tomorrow afternoon. Those games are between Kilanerin and Crossabeg-Ballymurn (3.15pm) and Shelmaliers and Naomh Eanna (5pm).
