Donegal club Sean MacCumhaills have appointed Luke Gavigan Snr and Damian Devaney as their new joint senior football managers.

Gavigan is a former Ardara and Donegal player who has been heavily involved with the Ballybofey club at underage level, while Devaney previously managed MacCumhaills in 2017 before having spells in charge of the Donegal ladies and Ardara. They take over a team who were well beaten by St Michael’s at the quarter-final stage of this year’s Donegal SFC.

“Both Luke and Damian are looking forward to the season ahead and the challenge it brings,” a club statement read.

“With the support of the club, community, and sponsors, they hope to foster an environment where every player feels valued and given the opportunity to reach their full potential — recognising that success can be measured in many ways.”
