The Kerry team to face Clare in Sunday’s Munster SFC final is likely to be much-changed from that which was pushed all the way by Cork in the semi-final.

Injuries and suspension are set to result in ‘four or five’ changes, according to manager Jack O’Connor. Paudie Clifford must serve a one-match ban following his red card against the Rebels, while Diarmuid O’Connor hasn’t recovered from injury.

“We have a few fellas with injuries,” O’Connor explained to Radio Kerry.

“Shane Ryan went off (against Cork) with a fairly substantial gash on his knee after a clash with Brian Hurley. Paul Murphy went off with a calf strain and Graham O’Sullivan has been nursing a groin problem for a couple of weeks, so he may miss the game as well.

“We’re down a few bodies and Paudie’s obviously suspended so we could anything up to four or five changes to the team from the Cork game.”
