Westmeath goalkeeper Jason Daly has announced his retirement from inter-county football.

The St Loman’s clubman made his senior debut against Fermanagh in the Allianz League in 2020 and went on to become an established member of the Westmeath squad.

Daly was part of the Lake County side that captured the inaugural Tailteann Cup in 2022 before helping them secure Allianz League Division 3 honours in 2024.

This past season saw Daly play his part in a historic campaign as Westmeath captured the Leinster senior football championship crown for the fist time in 22 years.

Westmeath GAA paid tribute to the goalkeeper following confirmation of his retirement, thanking him for his dedication and commitment to the county throughout his inter-county career.
