Madden ace Darragh McMullen says the newly crowned Armagh senior football champions are relishing the opportunity to represent the Orchard County in Ulster.

Mark Harte’s men recorded their club’s first ever Gerry Fagan Cup success on Sunday thanks to a comprehensive 0-20 to 0-9 win over Cullyhanna at the Box-It Athletic Grounds.

They now get set to face the winners of Dunloy (Antrim) and Newbridge (Derry), who play on Saturday night, in the Ulster club SFC quarter-finals and McMullen says they’ll be eager to give it a decent shot.

“I suppose that's where the experience has to come in - some boys have never experienced it or been in the final,” the wing forward told BelfastLive.co.uk.

“We played in the Ulster U16 series (Paul McGirr Tournament) - we didn’t know what hit us and we got chinned by a Derry team (Lavey).

“We are going to be playing the champions of Derry or Antrim. We’ll enjoy the next few days, obviously, and we'll get back to it during the week and we'll knuckle down for the Ulster championship.”
