Kildare senior football champions Athy are on the lookout for a new management after joint-managers Ross Bell and Conor Ronan along with coach Paddy Dunne stepped down.
The trio enjoyed a memorable season with the south Kildare club who recorded a surprise victory over five-in-a-row chasing Naas in the Kildare SFC final before going on to contest the Leinster club SFC final against Ballyboden St Enda’s earlier this month. It’s believed the management team has stepped aside for personal and family reasons.
“After what has been an amazing year for our club, we would like to thank the Senior management team for their incredible support, sacrifice, and achievements, you have created a new legacy for Athy GFC,” the Dermot Bourke Cup holders said in a social media post.
“From the executive committee and members, we thank you and wish you and your families a very Happy Christmas.”
