Trim 1-17 Kildalkey 3-10

Dunganny was the venue for Kildalkey’s Round 3 IHC game v Trim on Saturday evening and after a positive first half the blues just fell short by a point.

Mattie Cully led the way in the first half hitting 1-4 a goal and a point from play while further points from Mark Healy, Michael Carr, Shay Diggins, Conor Barnwell and Arron Potterton pushed on Kildalkey and a goal from Ben Rickard left them leading by 2-9 to 0-8 but a brilliant goal for Trim just before halftime only left 4 in it at the break.

The second half belonged to Trim as they took over and started to pick off points from different angles and when Kildalkey did get up the field they hit a few wides that seemed to suck the life out of them. 

However a late point from Ross Flynn and a brilliantly struck free from goalie Cameron Smith hit the net to put 1 in it with time almost up left only 1 in it but time ran out for them and Trim won out on the score line Trim 1-17 Kildalkey 3-10
