Ballygunner will face De La Salle in the semi-finals of the Waterford senior hurling championship following both sides’ respective victories over the weekend.

Chasing a 13th consecutive title in the Deise County, Ballygunner produced the second-half good to see off Dan Shanahan’s Lismore side by 1-19 to 1-11 on Saturday, while De La Salle edged out last year’s runners up Mount Sion on a 0-21 to 0-20 scoreline yesterday.

The other semi-final pairing sees Roanmore taking on Fourmilewater for a place in the county final.

Fourmilewater scored a 0-26 to 1-16 win over Passage in Dungravan on Saturday, with Roanmore booking their place in the last four thanks to a 2-16 to 0-17 victory against Abbeyside at Walsh Park, where Lee Hearne and Ethan Flynn bagged the winners’ goals.
