The route for Mick Foley cycle to raise some much needed funds for Temple St Children's Hospital has been altered due to the new Covid-19 restrictions.
The initial plan was to do a 25km solo cycle from Kells to Temple St and back while dressed in a dog mascot costume on New Years Day.
The former Meath hurler and Gaeil Colmcille veteran spoke to hoganstand.com this morning
“Unfortunately due to the Level 5 Covid restrictions it won't be possible to cycle to Temple St which is very disappointing . However, I intend to complete the 125km cycle on the day, dog suit and all!!! I have a route made out around Kells and Cortown that is all within 5kms of home to adhere to the new restrictions. A huge thank you to all who have donated so far, the response has been absolutely fantastic. There's over €4,000 raised so far!! My contact in Temple St fundraising dept has been on to thank everyone for their support. Anyone who still wants to donate can do so by CLICKING HERE. It's greatly appreciated”.
