Mohill club notes
June 21, 2021Div 1 and Div 2
Our first team without the county players had a big win over Annaduff on Sat night. They play Glencar Manor next Saturday 25 in Mohill at 7pm. The Div 2 team had a good win over Ballinamore on Sunday afternoon. Our third string string will travel to Drumshanbo to play Allen Gaels on Sunday next 26 at 3pm.
Lotto Results
There was no winner of this week’s Jackpot of €1900. The numbers drawn were 3-20-22-23. Lucky dip winners were: €70 Paula Nugent Roosky. €40 Edel Reynolds Drumrahill. €20 Jacinta Colreavy Mohill. Cash for Clobber
Cash for Clobber is in full swing, bring your unwanted clothes, linen, bags and shoes to The Philly McGuinness Park on Saturdays from 10am to 1pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 3pm.
Bingo
Great crowds on a Monday night at the Bingo back in the Park. It will be there every Monday at 8.30pm until further notice. For further enquiries contact 0879827357
Mohill Ladies
Our Ladies commenced their League campaign at home on Sunday last with a great win over St Mary’s. With both teams missing their county players Mohill seemed to have the measure of their opponents all over the field and kept the forwards well supplied with ball. Dearbhaille Beirne who is on contract with Peamount, was superb covering every inch of the field and scoring profusely.
Under 14 girls
These girls played a strong Annaduff side last week. The girls did their best but Annaduff were very strong. The star on the night was the diminutive Jodie Lupton who scored 4-3.
Under 15 boys
Under 15s started their League campaign with a good win away to St Brigids. At half time they held a 6 point lead 3-8 to 2-5 and that was as close as St Brigids got. We outscored them 3-7 to 2-3 in the second half. Mohill although very low in numbers were the stronger on the night. The scorers were C Walpole 0-1, K McCaffrey 1-6, T Mayock 1-0, T Casey, E Kilrane 1-4, R Walpole, S Mayock 0-2, C Tighe, D Beirne 2-1, F McManus 1-1.
Under 13s
These lads made the long trip to Manor during the week but Manorhamilton won well in both the Div 1 and Div 2. The lads never gave up but Manor were deserving winners They play Carrick in Mohill next Thursday 24 at 7pm followed by Drumkeerin at 8.15pm
Wedding Bells
Best wishes to Sharon Keegan and Vincent Fitzpatrick from Cork who will be married this Thursday. We wish them both and their families a great day and a life of happiness.
Mohill Park Draw
The Leitrim Supporters Draw is now over and the Win a Wedding is almost completed but you can still enter online. We did not want to compete with these vital fundraisers from the County Board but will soon get full support from everyone. Most club members will supply tickets at €20 each or three for €50.
