Galway regained the lead when substitute Cillian Power found the capital lads’ net with minutes remaining, but Martin Barry’s side were able to send over late scores via Joey Davy and Richie Hession ensured that the points were shared.
Both sides are now through to the next Saturday's semi-finals as seeded group winners with Kilkenny and Wexford also progressing after finishing second in their respective groups.
Wexford came from eight points down to defeat the Cats by 1-19 to 1-17 at Chadwicks Wexford Park.
Joe Dowling’s penalty after four minutes marked the perfect start for the visitors, who would go on to lead by 1-10 to 0-7 at the half and extend their lead after the change of ends via the points of Brion Walsh and Dowling.

The Slaneysiders hit back with a Joey Tobin goal and would go on to level by the 59th minute before the points of Eoghan Kehoe and Jamie Downey sealed the win.
Westmeath got their second win by seeing off Laois in Portlaoise by double scores (0-26 to 0-13), but, after finishing level on points with Wexford in Group 2, the Model County’s better score difference pushed them down into third position which sees them missing out.
