A superbly worked move saw Derry firing in the first goal of this afternoon’s Ulster senior football championship semi-final against Monaghan.

With the scoreboard reading 0-2 apiece at the Box-It Athletic Grounds, it was Ciaran Meenagh’s men that restored their advantage with this strike from Niall Loughlin to the bottom corner of Rory Beggan’s net after six minutes.
